Like most Filipinos, Kristel (Kim Domingo) has been an avid fan of Korean drama who has always wished that she would find the Oppa of her life. While working as a factory worker in the Philippines, she got into a relationship with Kim Ji Hoo (Yohan Hwang), whom she later married. However, Kristel's hopeful wishes turned out different when she lived in South Korea-she faced culture shock and discrimination from her husband's family.
