Someone tries to kill 62-year-old Emilien Kerr while he's walking his dog, but the concierge of his apartment finds him in the parking lot suffocating in a plastic bag, and emergency services keep him alive though in a deep coma. Kerr was a widower, a loner who worked as German translator and led a calm life, but Alvaro finds that he had been set up; apparently he'd had dinner with his 29-year-old daughter Alexia, who blamed him for his wife's suicide a decade before. Alexia becomes the main suspect while her sister visits Emilien in the hospital.
